Hi everyone,
I have always had endometriosis but it got much worse since becoming ill with lyme and co. Interestingly, it also got better for a couple of months while treating and then worse again. Which leads me to believe that it has been caused all along by an infection.

Originally, my endometriosis manifested with sweats and chills, diarrhea and extreme pain. With all that compounded with dizziness, all over pain and inflammation, heavy/clot periods, vision issues, and racing heart since treating lyme.

I have heard many women on here say that their periods became heavy, clotted or painful since lyme and co.

I'm wondering what infection this could be and how anyone found relief. I can't stand the pain anymore with this. My symptoms sound like babesia I believe but I know bart can cause hypercoagulation (clotting) issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have also had my hormones checked and everything is normal. I even have a cycle every 28 days. But I know I have excessive tissue and blood loss this time of month.

Hi Jamers,

Your description is exactly my situation too!

28 days, on the dot, steady as a rock. And that's where the positive part of my period ends.

The uterine cells must be in my intestine and bladder. Pretty much from my belly button down, front to back gets irritated and inflamed.

Clots the size of golf balls. I am in the bathroom every 30 minutes or so for one reason or another for 10 days until it ends. Anemia despite high dose iron supplementation. Close to $30 a month on feminine hygiene products.

Geesh I wish we could put those as deductibles on our tax claims.

Hormone therapy does not affect my period at all.

I wish I could offer something to help, but I struggle with it myself.

I am glad you started this thread, I am looking forward to reading what has helped others.

Sorry you are going through this too.

Hi Greta...Sorry you are suffering like this as well. It is the worst part of my month. Can I ask if you were diagnosed with lyme, bart and babesia? I am also in the bathroom every hour. I know menstruation is detoxifying so I feel like that is part of the process but sheesh!!

The strange thing is I never am anemic?!? I actually started the pill for my endometriosis and that's when my lyme symptoms started..connection for sure.

Jamers-Yes! I totally agree! Hormone pills shots etc only made everything worse!

Yes to Lyme Bartonella and Babesia. Also RMSF, myco and anaplasma, EBV and CMV and HHV6 (clinical suspected).

My periods started being awful when I first got lyme 12 years ago (had EM rash).

Also am sure I've had bart for a long time. Temper used to be real bad.

Wow, we have the same stuff going on...crazy! I too was diagnosed with HHV6 and EBV and other viruses. Mine started around 15 years ago but I never had a tick bite that I was aware of. I wonder if its bart, I do recall getting a ton of scratches from some kittens and my dog being infested by fleas when I was around this age.

FYI...when I was taking Artemisinin my pain was much better, whether I was treating the infection or because it is known to help with menstrual problems, it helped! I recently started it again.
