I'm struggling o figure out if the awful type of headaches I'm having are attributed to my Lyme or perhaps I have seasonal allergies. I have an appointment with an allergist but that's not for almost two weeks from now.

Has anyone had these symptoms associated with headaches;
Mostly one one side above eye brow (frontal sinuses) and pain in cheeck bones & upper teeth, congestion/ total stuffiness, post nasal drip, and fullness in one ear with EXTREME itchiness in the ear. Pain is often managed with Advil. But if I don't take any pain reliever then the headache and facial causes nausea with sometimes vomiting.

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced these symptoms and if so, was it your Lyme or allergy? Saw just my PCP who said my ears and nose look fine and he even ran a sinus CT (I had sinus surgery years ago). He ruled out a sinus infection.

Thanks!!

Hmmm... or CANDIDA? Itchy ears are a pretty good signal for me.

Then again... one-sided pain and nausea usually indicates migraine.

I used to get very similar headaches (migraines) during my monthly cycle.

They stopped happening when I stopped eating gluten and corn.

Imitrex used to help.

For me it's inflammation. I have all the symptoms you described.

I have trigeminal nerve pain too. Some of it was sparked off by having dental material that I was allergic to put in my mouth (sometimes the biological fillings aren't better which I learned the hard way).

So for me it was allergies that sparked off inflammation.

I got the material removed which improved the situation, but still have that flares every month. I'm sure Lyme makes the situation worse.

I also learned exercises to help with TMJ.

The ear itchiness and pain caused me to tense my jaw muscles from the discomfort.

I now rotate between 3 things that at least relieve the ear itchiness.

Calm Ear by Miracell - if my ear is dry, I use a couple drops. It also helped clear up candida in my ear.

Warm water with a little hydrogen peroxide - if my ear seems wet and itchy, this will help dry it out and relieve it. I use it with an ear bulb, can also use with a syringe without a needle to flush the ear.

Aloe gel - warm it in the microwave (not too hot). Drench a q-tip and just put at the entrance of the ear with your head tilted then wiggle the ear to work it down.

For the stuffed nose I find the neti pot with sinus rinse helps.

I also use a heating pad often on my face and over my ear down to my neck. It's just basically cloth I sewed up, stuffed with rice and put in the microwave. You can use a cotton sock and fill it with rice for a fast heating pad.

I also had a CT scan and saw an ENT. Neither saw anything.

I haven't had much luck with allergists except they confirm that I have allergies. You can get your total blood IgE level checked to gauge how generally allergic you are and have patch testing if you want to find out if you're allergic to something specific.

I react to VOCs.

Allergies, candida, or Lyme can trigger migraines....so it's hard to say what is causing them.

You will need to do some sleuthing! [Smile]
