I started Bicillin in the middle of February.

Since then my weight loss, strength loss and arm disfunction has gotten worse.

And my swallowing problems have worsened so that I needed a stomach tube.

The weight loss in particular has accelerated so that I am pretty sure it is the Bicillin as opposed to simple progression of the illness.

Any ideas about this ?

I am so sorry, LuluBelle. The treatment is "supposed" to make us better overall, not worse.

I notice a worsening of babs type symptoms (which includes coordination, air-hunger, and circulatory issues) when I have tried Omnicef for my lyme. The Amoxicillin has an effect too.

Do you think the worsening could be related to babs?

I'm thinking babs also. I had muscle wasting and weight loss with babs..

I had swallowing issues early on. I would choke on my own saliva. I'm not sure which infection caused that though.

Yes, I think that is possible because I am on bicillin injections too and had to stop it in the 4th month because I was getting worse.

It was not a herx. I was getting increasingly dehydrated and having more and more muscle pain in thighs and arms.

I also started having stomach issues and a loss of weight. Not sure why someone would get worse on bicillin injections but definitely noticed when I stopped that I felt better off the drug.

I believe this is proto or babesia.

Also try a cyst buster

I didn't have much luck with bicillin either. At first I felt slightly better but then worse. My NP suspected yeast.
