I went home to indiana on leave in june the last two years and this year in august I began to have a swollen soar tonsil as well as sore neck and headaches. I also get flashes of light in my eye on the right side. The doctor game me 2 rounds of antibiotics and the tonsil didn't change so they removed it.

3 weeks after the surgery I got really sick and after about a week my head/neck and feet started vibrating and I was so fatigued I couldn't do anything. I had head cloudiness too. The doctor gave me another antibiotic and it has partly gone away except the feet and some some dizziness.

After researching I thought it could be lyme and I recall having a small circle of red dots almost like pimples on my forearm a couple months after I came back from indiana 2 years ago. It took a few weeks for the rash to go away but I didn't think anything of it until now.

Because I am in the navy and in hawaii it is hard to get the doctors to test for it. I get out of the navy in about 5 months and am from indiana. Does anybody have any advice for me? Doctors in Hawaii or Indiana?

Hi and welcome - sounds like Lyme - we can leave your descriptive post here for people to comment on symptomwise.

What I suggest you do is make another post in Seeking A Doctor that you're looking for doctor referrals for HI or IN and mention those states in your heading.

Ok thank you very much. Does anybody have any advice for me to naturally fight this disease while I am waiting for a diagnosis? because I am afraid of what lies ahead if I don't get treatment soon.

There are herbal protocols you can try that you should be able to easily order the supplies you need.

One idea is to check out Steven Buhner's books and website.

Some people have had success with colloidal silver and salt/c protocols

There are other alternative treatments, such as rife or photon treatments that require locating and purchasing equipment.

All of those key words can be searched here at lymenet, look at the top of this page where it says "Post a New Topic" right under it in little letters is "search" click there and try some of these treatment key words.

Unfortunately there is no simple answer or single solution and LOTS of different opinions.

Great start reaching out to help yourself find answers and being proactive.

All the best!

Lyme can have a MAJOR parasite component and quie a few members are now treating with antiparasitics. One of your symptoms that you describe (vibrating) especially caught my eye. For me the vibrating was specific to parasites.

I have had great success with the salt/c protocol and antiparasitic herbs such as Humaworm, Hanna Kroeger Wormwood Combo and Parastroy. According to lymestrategies(salt/c group) salt kills bb(borellia)and is antibacterial.

You can check out the PARASITE WARRIORS SUPPORT THREAD here on lymenet. Just some thoughts for you till you get to your doc.

Hope this helps,

Gael

Also check another spirochete infection, leptospirosis. You can see warning signs posted at many of Hawaii's parks. It's transmitted via animal urine in fresh water through open cuts. Some similarities to Lyme.

You can get the book "Healing Lyme" by Stephen Buhner - about herbal treatment. www.planetthrive.org and lyme_aid_buhner (yahoo group) are Buhner tx discussion sites.
