Okay so I've been following the Burrascano diet for low carb in an effort to slow things down if I have Lyme. Now it gets even more complicated. I have white stuff on my tongue, not sure if it's yeast or not.
Also not sure how long it's been there, could have been there for years, I never looked at my tongue til I started reading up on Lyme stuff.
So Doc prescribed Nystatin mouthwash. Used almost the entire bottle (4x a day for 5 days) and it hasn't changed anything with the tongue. My primary care Doc said that if the Nystatin did absolutely nothing then it is probably not yeast.
But to be on the safe side I've been following the yeast control diet too. Even less stuff I can eat.
Now I find out today I have high cholesterol. Now I have to eat even EVEN LESS stuff. Seriously, what am I supposed to eat now?
Lettuce and a small portion of fish 3x a day for the rest of my life or the duration of treatment when I start getting treatment?
Someone who's good with this diet stuff please help, because the only thing i've eaten in the past 2 days is a little bit of chicken with NOTHING on it and 5.2 oz of plain fat free yogurt.
That's only about 480 calories in 2 days! On the plus side my complete metabolic panel from last friday says everything but my cholesterol is in normal range.
My WBC is not high or low, my RBC is normal, my platelets are normal. I just don't know what to eat! I have no meal plan for each week!

Thanks Carol. As for the Cholesterol, I suspect my Cholesterol truly is related to my crappy eating habits up to this point. I'm overweight (172 at the time of the blood draw, when i'm supposed to be around 150 for my height and age).
Also, before my dietary changes I consumed a ton of fast food, fried foods, pizza, and Indian dishes (ghee, which is in a TON of the Indian foods i've eaten on a weekly basis has very bad effects on Cholesterol according to what i've read.)
All this while sitting on my butt in front of my computer 90% of every single day. Those were my DAILY eating habits for years before having this cholesterol test done (my last one was several years ago).

I did fast for more than 8 hours before the blood draw. I didn't eat or drink anything from midnight the night before until around 2 or 3 PM when I had the blood drawn.
See this is the problem, there's too much conflicting information about Cholesterol control online. See, this is what I read on another site about Ghee:
As for the Lyme Guidelines, when they say "low carb diet" how low are they talking? The guidelines are awesome, but one of the things I really wish they'd have added to it were actual "numbers" when they say stuff like "low carb diet" Just saying "low carb" is too broad a statement. There should be a set daily limit.

No I don't. I have never craved sweet things and I still don't. As for bread. I can't even eat bread if there isn't something on it. I used to eat chicken sandwiches and stuff but that was more for the overall meal than the bread. In this case it might be that I only have it on my tongue. It wouldn't cause those cravings if it was only on the tongue, right?
Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to discount in any way what ya'll are saying. I know you guys know what you're talking about and I hear what ya'll are saying about the Cholesterol, but like I said, for me it's tough to judge because I got ZERO exercise, ate high saturated fat contents, fried foods, fatty foods, and all of this in large quantities for years straight. I would challenge anyone that didn't have Lyme to do this same thing and not have high cholesterol, you just can't do it.
Remember that documentary where the guy ate McDonalds for a month straight and his cholesterol shot through the roof? Same thing, except i've been doing it for years along with other very unhealthy eating choices. For example, a HUGE thing of french fries (enough to feed 3 people), covered in Mozzerella cheese, cheese whiz, and bacon. and I'd eat the whole thing myself in one sitting.
Now i'm not saying this because i'm trying to say I don't have Lyme, I don't know for sure if I do or not. I'm just saying my eating habits and lack of exercise are the most likely culprit for the cholesterol numbers in my particular case here.

Many here have zero exercise due to being unconditioned for YEARSc due to the effects of Chronic Lyme Disease.
Your eating habits are unhealthy, regardless of whether you have LD or not, to say the least but you already know that.
So switch things up for yourself and try cooking or grilling for yourself instead of depending on Fast Food.
No one here can help you unless and until you're willing to help yourself.
I'm not going to put forth any more time/effort on this thread.
There's a whole bunch of sick folks here who already know their dx that I'd much rather spend my time and energy on.
You can sit there and wonder whether or not you really have LD and wonder about your high cholesterol and its causes.
I think you've taken up enough time here and gotten enough advice from caring people.
If you don't care about your high cholesterol and bad diet and if you don't care to learn more about LD, all I can do is say "bye"

Regarding your white tongue, my tongue has a whitish coating but its not yeast.
I take nystatin tablets daily and also took diflucan, coconut oil, caprylic acid as well as nystatin swish and none of them got rid of my white tongue.
My doctor said that people who are in poor health can have a white tongue and not have yeast, so maybe its that.
Using something to scrape whatever is on the tongue is helpful anyway whatever it is and contributes to good oral hygiene.
