I have posted here a couple of times lately about my symptoms, and do not ant to go to far on that again. Basically some redness on fingers. Weird fairly random pain from mostly feet and fingers, and then some numbness mostly on the bottom of feet. I recently tested negative for RA, though we are always told that it can be just a matter of time. Naturopath thinks it could be B-12 deficiency of gluten intolerance. but also MS now comes up as a final catch all if nothing else fits. I do not here much on either MS or gluten intolerance here. I am not really sure that i have real question but the further I get into all of this the more unclear the picture becomes, unless you test positive for something. And even then their are those with positive test for Lyme, MS, RA , and celiac/GI who do not have symptoms. It kind of seems like you are better off just trying a variety of diets, drugs, and whatever therapies you want to try and give up on trying to figure out what you have

Are you seeing a LLMD? If so, what were the results of your labwork? I hope you find some answers.

Be very cautious about treating "MS" .. most treatments involve steroids or immune suppressants. So you could make Lyme worse if you have it.

Everyone here should be avoiding gluten. That's a given.

As for lyme, I'm with Joalo... What does your test say?

Tests were inconclusive about 4 years ago. I don't not have it t hand, I will see if I can find out if I posted it here a few years back Thanks for the input. I am probably going to see what happens with a no gluten diet before going further with another Lyme test. I know there is a newer more accurate test, but it is big bucks, Does anybody have an estimate? Blueshield might pay some?

I have been well for five years and still eat gluten free.

Two of my daughters eat gluten free this time of year because then they don't have seasonal allergies. With gluten they do have seasonal allergies.

Clearly, gluten has an affect on the immune system if their allergies go away when they avoid it.

I avoid it because I get bloated, tired, get bumps on my forehead and back of my arms, and get rough elbows when I eat it.

It's only one piece of the puzzle. There are many pieces, but I think it does help to avoid it.
