lately I am so exhausted by 2-3 that I can barely function. it's like all of a sudden I'm so drugged I can't function only I ain't on drugs.

my body just stops and says "forget it, I'm out of here and all systems are shutting down."

I still go to bed about 8-9 but I sleep for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

it's been much worse after my surgery.

anybody need these naps also?

I am a daily napper. By 2 I am down and out.

I wonder though, for you, have you had bloodwork since your surgery? It kind of sounds like you have not recovered completely. With that said, it takes our bodies longer to heal on the inside longer than we allow.

I took longer to recover from my three scar tissue adhesion surgeries after Lyme invaded my body.

Just some thoughts. Meanwhile, take the naps- your body is telling you you need rest, and to check with dr.

umm yeahmy doc said it would take at least a year to get fully back to normal.

but I had the surgery on march 4 and I've read where other people are fully up and about in 6 weeks.

does lyme make it harder for me to recover like normal people?

I think it does, in my non medical expert opinion..LOL

If Lyme was really studied by the mass medical world it would be fact...again in my humble forgetful world

I used to bounce back from my surgeries. The big abdominal one took me so long to get better I can't tell if I never healed or I developed new issues.

When I am ready I know I will have to go back and hit Lyme.

Have you had recent bloodwork?

no, I've been staying away. the surgeon gave me an all clear and said to resume normal duties.

I'm on medicare now and quite frankly don't know how they will pay.

one doc said he thought I had chronic fatigue, fibro, and lyme. great just great. lyme is bad enough but all three. he wanted to give me a diet pill called phentermine cause he said I was grossly overweight and it was causing all my problems.

besides bloodwork was done out the yingyang in the hospital and everything was normal.

Hi Randi,

Yes! I sleep 10 hours at night, then need an afternoon nap.

Sometimes the nap rolls into the next morning haha.

Doc told me I had fibro and cfs before my lyme dx. Also told me to lose weight.

Then saw a good LL.

Fibro and CFS in my opinion are bacterial/viral also. Lyme treatment helped my fibro symptoms bigtime. So did low dose naltrexone.

Docs who aren't in the know blame everything on weight. If the person is too skinny-gain weight. If the person is too fat-lose weight.

God only knows what they tell the normal weight folks...probably tell them they are depressed lol.

If you need the nap-take the nap. And don't feel guilty about it. [Smile]

I have read that fibro and cfs are really lyme.

my friends have tried lyrica and some cfs meds but the say they really have no effect on their symptoms.

sounds like there may be something to the theory that all three are truly one disease--and it's lyme.

Fibromyalgia = definition is many aches. It's a description, not a disease. You have Lyme, which causes many aches and makes you tired if your minerals are all out of whack.

So you just have Lyme, and it sucks.

The 2pm OMG I have to lay down right now fatigue could be caused because your cells are running out of energy.

Look into NADH. It might really help with energy.
