I would vote for this in a heart beat if I lived in NY.
New Yorkers, show them who is boss and protect your docs!

I hope this passes . Along with other bills for lyme doctors and patients.
My opinion 2015 is going to be bad for lyme patients and LLMD in particular.

poppy- you are such a dear! Thanks for all you do!
Update for you and those interested... the "new" NY bill passed both Senate and Assembly. On its way to the Governor now.
My guess is the IDiots will be loading their blow torches soon to try to kill it.
If you haven't seen the wording for the "new bill", please see my post in Activism. Hannon never would let the other one out of Committee as I'd expected, but if it is HIS idea (backed by the IDiots), well that's another story. uggggg....
The new bill is based on the 2005 Memorandum, removes the definitions, some other wording and the clinical diagnosis and long-term treatment protection.
AND... had Hannon passed it years ago when he had a chance, that would have helped protect the LLMD's in NY who have been attacked repeatedly, and opened up treatment options for other docs, and would have greatly helped patients in NY and world wide get treatment.
In other words, it would have saved lives.
And, head's up, poppy. If you could kind of stand by (you are so wonderful with this stuff), a new action alert will be out soon on another bill that will need to be addressed.
That's why I am here hanging out tonight. SO TIRED!!! And you'll laugh. I am listening to the Lonely Goatherd from the Sound of Music. Over and over again. Trying to get the politics out of my head for a few hours before we start to rock and roll again.

You are too funny! I got it! Been too busy/tired to check back, sorry!
And now, please go jump in the San Francisco Bay. You've got that goofy melody and your fun words running through my brain when it is needed for some serious stuff!
The bills are alive, as we sing their music, With wrongs to be wrung for a thousand years. Lyme bills do their part to reground our "too sick" - Their art wants to ding every wrong, resteer.

It's important to know that anyone from any state can sign the link, not just New York State residents. There is a drop down for every state.
Be sure to put Bill Number S7854-A7558B in the subject line and urge the Governor to sign this bill into law.
We ALL need to participate in this, no one can afford to sit back and do nothing. As each state receives protections by law, there will be more momentum for other states to follow suit.
