I recently treated a candida overgrowth and believe that I might have a bit of the issue remaining since ending treatment.
I've been sticking to a candida-legal diet (almost 100%) and have noticed a little weight loss.
At this point, I don't want to lose any more weight and am trying to figure out how to adjust my diet so that I am not feeding any remaining yeast....and still maintaining my weight.
I've searched these boards and found a few things, but I'm lightheaded today....and it was easier to post a new topic.
I get nervous with weight loss because I don't want to worry that it could be something else causing it. However, based on my symptoms, I really do think this is candida related.
Would eating buckwheat soba noodles with garlic be a good option? What foods can I eat to achieve both goals?
Thanks so much!

Pump in the probiotics!!! Take a good one like Essential Formulas which also contains nutrients to feed the "good guys". Loading doses...5 per day 1/2 hour before a meal with a glass of water until the package is gone.
They help control the yeast-good guy *balance*.
Yeast are supposed to be in the bowel where they do serve a function.
IN THAT LOCATION ONLY.
Yeast more controlled now (they will be the last to leave the bowel after - for example - salmonella/food poisoning...my son...stool tested...no beneficial bacteria left, only a few E. coli and yeast)and abx. for lyme likely did in a number of the "good guys".
A bowel without "good guys" to absorb and make nutrients = severe weight loss, severe depression, feel nauseated, pass undigested food.
I've seen it...personally.
Probiotics...lots. Vary them (at lower doses)for awhile.
ALWAYS take probiotics when on abx.

I seriously hate this candida issue. I just want to feel relatively good again

Consider too VCO capsules. Watch the dosage...too much at one time = "herx" response = may need Benadryl to counter.
Google: candida virgin coconut oil.
Vary the different probiotic formulas (they vary a lot).

Thanks, Lymetoo. I've heard of the Body Ecology diet, but never looked into it.
I just hope that I can find a healthy balance that eliminates yeast, restores my gut....and allows me to maintain a healthy weight.
I hate the thought of getting too thin. It reminds of me of when I had Lyme at my worst. Too thin, shaky, weak, faint, the works.....ugh. Still makes me shiver.
I'm at a normal weight now, so any more weight loss is not desired at all.
