I think it would more precise to say this strongly suggests the IDSA treatment protocol and even longer treatment often fails. That in turn would probably lead to chronic persisting Lyme. It also suggests there are a large number of B miyamotoi infections being missed by the 2 tiered test that will always lead to the chronic form of Lyme Disease since those people would never be treated at all.
