I was told by a friend Lyme symptoms tend to do a 3 week cycle.
My toddler was doing this when she was one year old, but had no idea what was causing it.
Can anyone provide me with more medical information on this that I can take to her GI doctor.
Thank you for your help!

- Yes, lyme can cycle for many (not all) but even if not cycles, some symptoms certainly can come and go and be back again with no apparent reason.
As for what you can take to her GI doctor, I hope you can see a LLMD first. Unless urgent, I think that would be best. I would be very, very cautious about mentioning this to any doctor who is not well educated about lyme - an most are not.
I would contact the lyme support groups around you -- and also the support groups for PANDAS and even autistic kids. Those parents may know how open minded the GI doctor may be. Just ask if others have been to him - or if there is another GI doctor they might recommend.
Those other groups have similar complexities of diagnostics and treatment. Many have to follow special diets and some of that detail may be of help, too.
Lyme can also overlap so you may find parents there who know the lyme "friendly" doctors who won't kick you out of their office (or put a red flag on your kids' files).
Of course, she could have GI issues that are unrelated to lyme. It's just that lyme can tremendously affect the gut, and food issues, too, so sorting it out with a LLMD is important.
You ask for some information, so here are some links waiting for you over here . . . and also where I see you posted for a LL pediatric doctor. Good luck.
