Hello,

I decided to be brave and try coffee enemas. By

the forth one, I could barely get out of bed, my

symptoms were so much worse. I even had a sore

throat and haven't had one in a couple of years.

Is this a herx or something else? It's the only

thing I've done different.

Thanks

Yes, it's a form of detoxing...

Typically of most all detox modalities usually enemas help relieve vs create herx.
If your herxing go slow and yes keep going.
I was highly toxic and still had a short window of feeling herx on enemas and short lived.
I rarely hear people say they herx from them. If anything when bile is stimulated you can feel a rush of feeling sick but it is temporary as in within minutes even is gone.

Hope you get the clearing benefits soon.

Try reducing the strength of your coffee.

I would slow down if they're making you worse instead of better.

I seldom felt worse from them, they usually provided relief of symptoms. Some people who are poor detoxers have trouble with them. I agree with the reducing the coffee strength comment.

My hubby never felt better with them either. He only did them once a week.

Eventually he gave up doing them.

He does have an MTHFR mutation & has trouble detoxing.

I have big trouble detoxing and still felt relief from them.
But I did work up from water to salt water to weak coffee and series and gently got my body worked u but even the gentle ones helped at first.
Then it started taking more and stronger ones
It could be the gut has to clean out too first before the liver and bile push can give relief instead of herx

Its so worth it to stick with it.

Lee-good for you for trying! Awesome!

I feel better almost the same day when I do them, although during and for an hour afterwards I am extremely nauseated and dry heave a bit.

Only the coffee enemas do this for me, not the saline ones.

Must be what others suggested about bile release. Makes sense now.
Agree about the strength of coffee.

thanks everyone for your help. I don't have a

gallbladder anymore so when you mention bile

it makes me wonder if that could be the reason

I'm feeling so crappy...no pun intended [Smile]

Leeintn, just curious; did you have your (gallbladder) removed after having Lyme disease?

If so, was it ordered by your doctor or your LLMD?
