I use Acure mint shampoo. It works fine.

http://www.acureorganics.com/Pure-Mint-Echinacea-Stem-Cell-Shampoo-p/026.htm

It also got a very good nontoxic rating on skin deep.

http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/product/474952/Acure_Organics_Shampoo%2C_Pure_Mint_%26_Echinacea_Stem_Cell/

Skin deep is a great resource for figuring out what products are non toxic and which ones you should definitely avoid.

I think I've tried just about every kind out there if the company makes a fragrance-free version.

I have a very sensitive scalp and need fragrance-free.

I did okay with California Baby (they make a variety, with and without fragrance).

http://www.californiababy.com/

I LOVE Rainbow brand though.

I can even use it for body wash. They have a kids version and a baby version. I like the kids version because it's gentler (strange since the other is for babies).

For the baby version there's both a body wash and shampoo. I looked at the ingredients and they are identical, so I use them interchangeably (depending on what the store carries or if there's a sale).

It looks like there's an adult line, but I've never used it:

Dolphin Organics also makes a natural one, but it irritated my scalp (I'm VERY sensitive though).

http://dolphinorganics.com/

Seaweed Bath makes a good one too (again, irritated my scalp):

Avalon Organics makes a bunch too.

There are so many more that I tried, but these should get you started.

You can check safety and ingredients here, as well as find some brand suggestions. Then, to to www.vitacost.com or www.iherb.com and read customer reviews:

I like Dr Bronners Liquid Castille soap.

It is so strong, a little goes a long way.

Have you tried "no poo"? I have not done it myself but alot swear by it and say their hair is better than ever. basically you no longer use any shampoo.

These links explain more

I like Avalon's Lavender shampoo. 70% organic. A bit of an odor, but not much. Kroger grocery carries it, at least my local one does.
