I have suffered from high blood pressure for nearly half my life - started to notice right around when I first got sick , have been taking meds for blood pressure for many years . Have been treating quite aggressive for lyme and co infrctions for few months now and also taking the blood pressure meds - past few days have been feeling dizzy , and light headed . Have been monitoring my pressure and on average it's around 115/60 - normally on meds I was around 125/85 - is it possible that the treatment has helped my blood pressure and the meds for pressure are no longer needed ? Sorry for long post !

In short yes, as your body heals from Lyme it's not uncommon that your high blood pressure will lower.

I always had good BP before lyme, as I got sicker and sicker my BP kept going up.

I would definitely talk to your doctor about this, it sounds like he may lower, or take you off BF pills and monitor you.

Don't stop any meds on your own, but do see your doctor as soon as possible.

Yes, I agree with Steve.

Talk to your doc. Maybe the amount of blood pressure meds needs to be adjusted.

I had extremely low blood pressure before lyme treatment, like 80/40 somedays.

Now I'm a steady 120/80

Brings me great joy to be 'normal'. haha. (Only in my bp, lol)

Congrats on some success with your lyme treatment already [Smile]
