I'm no expert obviously, but I would guess less than 40 bpm would be dangerous.

Well I've already flagged 36 non-resting mid-day on my monitor. I have meds to raise it but they don't work. Cardiologist said a pacemaker won't do much good for me because the slow HR is secondary to my uncontrolled low BP.

Have heard that increasing fluid and salt can improve low BP.

Thanks. I have already tried every possible option for my BP. Salt, fluids, licorice, caffeine, midodrine, florinef, beta blockers, etc. I have one drug left......Mestinon, but don't have high hopes for it. I've been trying to get symptomatic help for the fainting from mainstream doctors but so far they have had no luck. I haven't had much luck in treating the underlying cause (Lyme and Babesia) in over 3 years either.
For the slow heart rate, I take hyoscyamine and recently theophylline (which apparently is difficult to use due to the potential for toxicity). Theophylline also worries me somewhat since it used to be in a lot of diet products similarly to caffeine and ephedrine. I'm already underweight enough. Neither have stopped my HR from dropping. I was at 40 mid-day several times yesterday.

Wow, you have been around the block with this. Not sure why beta blockers are in the list, though, as they are used for high blood pressure and heart "palpitations." The latter is why I am taking a very low dose at night.
