Seeing my doc next week and it would be helpful if I could hear from others with Babesia and what has helped them.
Nothing expensive because I can only afford what Medicare will cover.
I have all of Buhners books and quite a few of his tinctures and want to include them in what ever ABX I get.
I don't know which lyme forum group I got this info, maybe here, but I have Buhners updated treatment for Babesia.
I would appreciate it if people would let me know what they take and I will give the info to my doc.
thanks lolo

Mepron and zith.

Alinia and tinidazole. Both compounded. Not covered. About $200 month. With Byron white tinctures and cryptolepsis.

Did not get help from mepron zith combo.

Sure did get help from second combo.

"Nothing expensive because I can only afford what Medicare will cover."

It all depends on your Part D plan. Different plans are better than others.

Open enrollment is coming up in a couple months. You can enter in your drugs on the medicare site and see what's covered by each plan.

Here's a thread on the most expensive meds:

The good ones for babesia that I know of are expensive: Alinia, mepron, malarone

Alinia has a patient assistance program. Your doc needs to fill out the paperwork.

I did herbs for 8 months and they did nothing. They wouldn't even touch babesia. I instantly got energy on malarone and it's now generic.

Keep in mind, everyone is different. You might react great to something that doesn't work for others and vice versa.
