Didn't even know it had come up for a vote yet. After the committee meeting one of the congressional offices called me and said they didn't know when it would come up for a vote.
Time to celebrate if it really did pass.

Yes, and I'll put the same note here that I just posted in the Activism link: we can watch House of Representatives proceedings on demand.
I saw that September 8 was available to viewing, so that means we can watch the debate on HR4701 tomorrow. The debate started at 5:57pm EST and was reported to run for 40 minutes.

Next is the push to pass in the Senate---when they are back in session again. How much do these guys work? They are out of session so much!
Also, the NY State bill will come before Cuomo soon (gotta start another thread).

We can watch the live session at www.house.gov/content/feature/story2/ - click on Watch House Live link over the picture, then when the next picture comes up, click on Session on Demand to the right, then on September 9 session.
The discussion occurs between 8:10 and 8:28. Several speakers are featured.

Congressman Chris Gibson, Congressman Sean Maloney and Congressman Chris Smith made such powerful, impressive and passionate speeches, so do not miss watching it. (approx. 15 min).
