100 units is better for PICC line lock flushing. It is stronger and more effective.

I have a port. What does 100 units mean? They both say 5 ml. One says 10 units and the other says 100 units. I thought they might be referring to the saline, but the medicine is 5 ml. I don't know.

100 units per mL vs. 10 units per mL.
5mL of 100 unit Heparin = a total of 500 units of Heparin.
5mL of 10 unit Heparin = a total of 50 units of Heparin.
