A few days ago I had blood drawn from my left arm for various tests. The lab tech was quite rough btw, and a few hours later, the back of my left hand felt sore. Mind you, not at the site where the blood was drawn from, but on my hand on the same arm. I looked and noticed that it was dark red with a slight bump on it. Today the area is larger and there is still a small lump under the skin. The hand is not swollen.
I wonder if this could just be a coincidence or is it actually possible for blood to travel down to my hand?
I am currently on my 3rd week of Doxycycline 100mg/twice/day and so far have had no adverse reactions to the abx. I don't think this would have anything to do with it, but I thought I would throw it out there just in case anyone else has had a similar experience.
I'm puzzled. Thanks for any feedback!
