My husband has a PICC (again) and this time around he is taking 3 abx IV. Needless to say it is kicking his butt right now.
Anyone else take 3 at a time? Did it get better? When?

- I don't think that is all that unusual. He should let his LLMD know, though, if it's just too much for him. There are certainly ways to make adjustments. It's important to communicate with LLMD rather than try to tough it out if it's just too tough on the body.
Also be sure adequate herx support is on board. Take care, both of you!

I was on 4 daily for a 9 months(it sucked, I feel for him), then 2 for 15 months. I guess it all depends on multiple things. But it stopped my atrophy, weakness, spinal issues, etc...
It took me about 3 months to notice anything then stopped at 6. Sort of hit a plateau. If you can afford it, I'd try to switch them up when they stop working.

Thanks. Last time it was only 1 iv and 2 oral for 6 months and then we switched to 2 iv and 1 oral.
It is still an adjustment, he just had the PICC put in Friday. We trust the doc, but I am just worried about my husband. It sucks to see him suffer because of the disease Posts: 34 | From Minnesota | Registered: Jul 2007
