Can anyone answer this? Hoping alinia arrives soon it is one of two parasite drugs I haven't tried yet to try to get flukes and possibly amoeba. Not sure amoeba can cause tingling sensations and be in the neck. Regardless anyon have thoughtson alinias effectiveness?
Also mri neurologist orders came back clean besides somethin with the right side of sinus but otherwise clear despite symptoms and reactions to meds and food, etc.

I believe the answer is yes. It was listed in a lyme conference, I think of 2012. It here in search button or check out the better health guy. He has taken notes on some lyme meetings.

Yes, IMO it is great for cns parasites. Parasites cause the tingling sensations for me. I am not sure it will get flukes though.
Have you checked out the parasite thread? It is full of info on parasites.

Hear that. Something seems to be around my head and neck - mri came back clean tho for whatever that is worth. The other day after using albendazole for two heads it felt like something bit the back of my head.
I've tested positive for amoeba anti bodies again - the crawling head pains seem more like a bigger thing tho. I guess I will try the alinia protocol first and hope it helps. I've seen the parasite thread too. I've tried plenty of meds without too much luck tho. After alinia I also have triclabendazole which is said to be the top fluke killer out there.

I doubt an mri will show parasites. Parasites are no easy fix but treatment has been beneficial for me. They have taken me a long time to knock back. My head is much better after treatment (still treating).
No one pill does it. We are all different. I have taken lots, and I mean LOTS of anti parasitic herbs and meds to knock them back. These bugs want to live just as much as your I.
You might want to go back and read the parasite thread again. I would start on page one. I believe castor oil packs can help with liver flukes. That thread is loaded with good info.
Something could have bit the back of your head. I got bit this time last year.

Ok, I'll check it out. I've been fighting this for over a year now and also used plenty of parasite meds in the past months - prazi, iver, abendazole, pyrantol, etc.
I used herbs around a year ago and they helped but I felt look it riled things as opposed to meds which seem more effective tl me when they hit something. I will check into castor oils too. I don't know much about them but I'm sure there's plenty of info up on them.

I am currently on iver, plus lyme meds. I feel I may be heavily infected as I respond Favorably to the types of meds that kill protozoa and filarials. Doxy tindy alinia iver CSA tincture.
I agree re: castor oil packs. I don't know how or why, but when I was only on herbal antiparasitics and I did castor oil packs, lots of debris...
Some blueberry skin looking things and dark jello bit things. Weird.
Anyways, hope the alinia helps you. It is magic. Are you pairing it with anything else?
My doc paired it with tinidazole, once daily, and Byron White's A-P

I think ivermectin may be my favorite. It can be hard on my kidneys tho and sometimes gives weird effects but it seems to have a relaxing effect too. Seems to be ok once a week or once in a while for two days in a row.
I also like albendazole since it goes all the body but it hurts around the liver when I take it now so ivermectin is more preferred at the moment.
A travel/id doctor gave me a serology for ameobiasis - some labs have it, I think it was lab corp who had it. Have done others too - sometimes request them, other ones seem to come up negative -they have a limited number of species to test for but I've tested for fasciola, angiostrongylous, paaragonomus, strongyloides, echinococus, schistosamisis,filariasis, ascaris, have come back negative.
For flukes a quick google search shows there are more than 18,000 species of flukes alone so it isn't suprising blood tests can miss these things.
The alinia protocol the llmd put together is two weeks of alinia followed by two weeks of tinidazole.

The combo of antiparasitic herbs and salt/c chased out lots of different worms and flukes including those listed on www.lymephotos.com from me.
You have to be persistent when tx parasites. Parasites will run from the salt because they get dehydrated and go into osmotic shock. Much like when you pour salt on a worm on the sidewalk. They wither and die.

Gael is right, herbs and salt C combined are a great alternative. The salt always seemed to push them out of me (forgot about the salt). Herbs and salt do rile them up, but they are killing them. As they die they release toxins which make people feel bad, so detox is necessary.

I have a stockpile of Alinia. It makes me herx like crazy. It's almost too much. I took a round of it along with the rest of Dr. K's parasite med protocol.
Alinia and Albenza created the worst herxes I've ever had. Herxing was constant until a few days after stopping the med.
Is this significant? What could this mean?

Lymeboy, alinia hits proto hard, and albenza is probably hitting it too (coffee enemas everyday helps).
So it's a case of: it gets worse before it gets better (at least it was for me). It just took time. My herx has gone from a 10 down to a 5. Support your body and do LOTS of detox.

Cagirl -do you think eating a small amount of food with meds can help? As to not eat so much, but eat some food so the body can get some energy from it but detox if needed, etc... I think I may do that when meds arrive.

No, I would eat more. I've had to eat a solid meal with meds or I get side effects from the med. For instance, I have to eat a lot more food with alinia or I get nausea.

Anyone know if it's unusual to have bright yellow urine a few hours after a first dose?
Also upper right pain could be related to the parasite(s)? Pain has been there for weeks now and tests including ultrasounds haven't shown anything there.

Yes to both of your questions in my experience. I could not take alinia for a long time. I had to pulse if like 2-5 days a week for 5 week rotations.
