I know lyme can cause stomach problems .. But say you take nexium just in case you have gastritis / an ulcer to reduce stomach acid; what if your stomach issues are due to low acid and not gastritis? How can you tell if you should quit the nexium or continue to take it? Hm..

I'd ask your doc. Some meds and supplements shouldn't be taken when you have lyme.
Also, you can't take some supplements and meds with doxycycline. Again, ask your doctor (or pharmacist)

Should i ask my family doctor to be tested for h pylori? How can someone know if they have gastritis or low stomach acid.. Because then ppi's wouldn't help, right? What exactly does lyme do to the stomach

I tested h pylori 2 ways in the same week. Stool test was negative, blood test was positive. It took a friend 20 years to get the proper diagnosis of h. pylori. Her test was done through a breath test.
It's good to know if you have it. My LLMD wouldn't even touch the Lyme til that was under control.
