Hi,

Been in frontal sinus pain agony for 3 mo....started after accidentally ate some gluten....its a normal response, but it usually goes away after a day.
I can tell it is inflamed. OTC phenylephedrine helps minimally, same with sinus rinse. God, it is so overwhelming it trumps the body pain. And the exhaustion!

Desperate for any advice on successful remedies. (Also tried guaifenisen, drinking lots of water, and acetazolamide.)

Thanks,
John

What is the sensation of the pain?

What makes it feel better?

What makes it feel worse?

Does it feel better with warm or cold compresses?

Do you feel better lying down or sitting up?

Is anything coming out of the sinus?

Do you feel any sensation at the bridge of the nose?

Wow, gluten triggered it? Amazing what gluten can do. Do you think a neti pot and salt might help?

Maybe things for inflammation, ginger, tumeric, boswellin would help.

I used to have major sinus issues but parasite treatment has taken that away for me (worth considering).

Hope you feel better soon.

You might also try ondamed (pemf). It reduces inflammation fast and has helped me many times with inflammation in my body.

I am going thu this too! and it seemed to come on me over night like instantly.

I tried Sinusun or something by HEEL, but they just changed it to ReBoost Decongestion by HEEL. it is a nasal spray and it does help. it really helped jumpstart some movement of thick heavy mucus feeling in my head.

I felt like I was under water in a submarine.

I had tooth pain with it too. do you have tooth pain? from sinuses

LisaK- that looks like a really good over-the- counter product for a really nasty sinus symptom picture(ReBoost Decongestion by HEEL).

Thanks everybody, will try Ondamed, Reboost.

To Lookup re your questions....dull pressure, but sometime a spiked ice pick. Massaging over my brow give a tiny bit of relief, otherwise Tylenol w/caffeine helps some, breathing steam helps but only for 15 min or so, no drainage at all!, no sensation at bridge of nose, but huge sensation of pressure an pain over both eyebrows.
many thanks for any advice!!

I watched an alternative health guy tape two magnets, I think 10 gauss, he said, to his forehead over his eyes, and within 10 minutes, his sinuses had cleared up.

It's another approach to consider, the impact of weak magnets on tissues. I have used weak magnets before to reduce pain, and stronger magnet machines really take down pain.

If you're interested in trying it, you could google online for companies that sell the little magnets.
