I had been abx for seven years to bring my lyme disease under control. I'm doing pretty well except for some fatigue issues occasionally, but I can live with that. I stopped abx around Thanksgiving and am doing Byron White Formulas.
My question: Has anyone lost hair after stopping antibiotics? I used to have very thick hair and it thinned out a bit especially after relapses, but it came back somewhat. Is this hair loss due to body changes after being on abx for so long?
Just wondering.

What is your thyroid status?

I've been tested for thyroid, and it is within normal range. My TSH did go up to 2.5 which is the highest it has ever been.
I've thought about thyroid, too. I might see another doctor for a second opinion.
Thanks.

Don't have an answer for you, but I am losing my hair too. Happened on and off a few times now-- has been for several months. Am on bicillin so wondering if its that?? I worry I'll be bald in a year

I have thinning hair. I don't have a thyroid anymore, so that's a factor but my ND said I'm very deficient in Biotin. Taking it now but am told it will take a while to see a difference.
