Can this be taken at the same time as abx or probiotics?

How much do you take?

Hmmm.... I believe it should be taken without food and best taken 2 hours before or after abx.

Since most abx is taken with food, then it wouldn't be a good idea to take it at the same time for that reason also.

I would take one a day... more if you have trouble.

I'm pretty sure S.Boulardii (Floristor) is one of the only probiotics that actually can be taken along with ABX, since it is more like a brewers yeast and not a bacteria.

I always spaced it apart anyway.

Hubby always took it at the same time as other probiotics - ideally 1 or 2 hours before or after food and antibiotics.

I've always found it best to take my probiotics and S.Boulardii just a few minutes prior to meals.

I've always taken abx with meals.

Abx doesn't kill all the probiotics and good bacteria instantly, but still, that's the most important time to have good bacteria in your system, so it doesn't fall that low.

I have sometimes taken between meals IN ADDITION to meals, when needed that much.

S. Boulardii is not affected by antibiotics since it is a "good" yeast, and can be taken near antibiotics.

It is recommended, however, that S. Boulardii is taken between meals on an empty stomach.

Do not take S. boulardii at the same time as any prescription antifungals, such as Nystatin, Diflucan, Sporonox, etc.

Antifungals kill S. boulardii, therefore, it is usually recommended that they be taken at a different time of the day (separated by 2 to 3 hours).
