I have lyne with 3 coinfections. Third month of doxycycline. I was feeling better. So much so I had a few drinks 3 nights ago and now feel worse than ever. My feet feel broken all my joints ache, I'm twutching constantly, my tongue is totally numb (does anyone else get that?) I just feel so frustrated and want to be healthy again. I'm so tired and sensitive to everything.. Stress food and anything fun.. How do I keep going? I have a 3 year old and can't play with her I'm so tired .

Alcohol is not recommended for us as the liver is already overwhelmed from dealing with the infection! I know I couldn't even drink once Lyme got going in my body. I have a feeling you might be going through a liver reaction to the drinking.
Yes, I've had parts of my tongue go numb - it's part of Lyme affecting the nerves. It will go away.
You're basically at the beginning of treatment and need to have some patience with the process. You will feel better eventually but right now you're going through treatment.
Taking turmeric eases joint and muscle pain for me. I get it in bulk at the healthfood store and dip 00 size capsules into it.
Taking magnesium can help with the twitching. There's a couple different kinds of magnesium, so you want to see which you do best with.
Sore feet? Do you have bartonella? That can affect feet, lymph nodes as in make them swollen, also make you more irritated.
In fact, as you say you have three co-infections, you're going to have to be patient with a process that deals with all of them.
How do you keep going? By understanding the process of improving, that millions of us are going through it or have, that it's a marathon and not a sprint,
that there's a whole palette of remedies to be aware of for a) killing/deterring the infection b) detoxing and c) fortifying the body, and to find out what you're going to respond to as we're all different,
also to understand which remedies are for which co-infections, and have an understanding with your doctor what order they're handling the infections in,
and to try to set your life up to ease this process. For example, could someone else help with your daughter at all during this time? Perhaps you could do them a return favor later on.
Or see if you can set her up with the best play situation possible for her to be engrossed in what she's doing, if possible.
Do you have any family who can help?
Another idea is to read through the success stories at the top of General Support - it will give you some idea of what people have done and how they've coped with the process.
Nice if you can take a little time out and do something, anything that's pleasant for you, whatever you enjoy doing - that helps a little too, putting a little quality back into your day.
Ok, this is my public response. Now I'm going to PM you to let you know about CA resources.

Drinking for me is out if the question. A sip would make me spin. I also can not handle any stimulation in the way of noise, smells, touch...any of the senses. Good or bad stress makes me feel worse. My children are grown so my heart goes out to you. It will get better with time. God bless, theresa

No one with lyme can stand alcohol. I couldn't, not a sip.
It is very well known in the lyme community that alcohol should be avoided, or you may crash.
now that my lyme is fully dormant, i can take glasses of wine without ANY consequences. Before, really, when I took a sip, I would have to pay it later....
Total abstinence of alcohol is a must, unfortunately. When lyme goes dormant, I promise you guys, everything comes back to normal again.

I'm so glad you started feeling better already! You'll have to treat the other infections and address biofilms to get fully better. Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint! Keep going one day at a time.
