What do people do for this if your having symptoms? Anxiety, heart palpitations, sweating constantly, mustle weakness. I know that all this can be TBD as well but i think some of it may be thyroid. Thanks

I looked at some of your recent posts and saw that you inquired about bone pain, and bad pain in your neck and shoulders.
You're on a low dose of rifampin and doxy, and a low dose of lexapro.
You may be herxing. Some of the symptoms of the Jarische-Herxheimer reaction are due to the liver not being able to process nerve poisons. Some of your symptoms may be due to magnesium deficit.
Anxiety and irregular heart beat are symptoms of low magnesium.
The low magnesium happens when the Lyme bacteria use up the magnesium in our cells, which is where they live. Also, the liver needs magnesium to detoxify poisons in the bloodstream.
I wouldn't rush to assume that you need thyroid treatment until you provide your body with more magnesium and more supplements to help your liver function better.
Antidepressants can reduce pain, but your dose would probably need to be higher than it is now.
Do you know what your Vitamin D level is? The body needs Vitamin D to be able to process the magnesium. I'm taking 5000 units of D3 daily.
A small dose of Boron will help keep the kidneys from filtering out too much of the magnesium, and will also strengthen your bones, fingernails, and hair.
Sorry about the involved answer to your question, but the whole interaction is complex. I saw you mentioned that you see an LLNP. Does he/she have you on supplements?

I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism prior to the Lyme diagnosis. They took my Thyroid out and what do ya know? I still felt awful. The Lyme caused the thyroid problems. I wish I would have gotten myself to a ND who could have treated me naturally before losing my thyroid.
Don't listen to the Endo or Md who will tell you it's no big deal to live without a thyroid. It is a big deal and in many times unnecessary!
