When I was trying to figure out what was wrong with me a month or two ago, I ended up writing this guy on a website called EarthClinic named Ted.
Ted is this alt health guru in Asia. I'm thinking the Phillipines.
Anyway when I told him my story he said he thought I had Lyme.
But what he also told me was that the cures for Lyme were Rife machines and hydrogen peroxide. When I told him I was going to buy antibiotics, he told me to take
FIVE GRAMS of Zithromax.
I wrote him back. I said are you sure? That is ALOT.
He said he was sure -- well, he said between 2.5 and 5 grams. He said if I had Lyme and I took that I would feel better that day.
Has anyone ever taken that much Zithromax orally and been okay afterwards?
I'm tempted. I know he's just a guy on the internet but...
"Better that day"
Man that is a nearly irresistible phrase.

He has no idea what he is talking about.
If that worked, we would know by now and everyone (with Lyme) would be doing it.

Jordana, why not let the lyme disease expert answer your question--Dr. Joseph Burrascano. They came from all over the globe to be treated by him.
Page 18:
"Azithromycin- Adults: 500 to 1200 mg/d. Adolescents: 250 to 500 mg/d"
This is the dosage Burrascano gives for zith. That is 500 mg to 1200 mg per day. 1200 mg is 1.2 grams.
Now, my lyme doc put me on amoxicillin for lyme. I took 1500 mg (which was 3 five hundred mg pills) 3 times per day. That is a total of 4500 mg or 4.5 grams of amoxi per day.
Here is what Burrascano gives as the proper dosage of amoxi:
"*Amoxicillin- Adults: 1g q8h plus probenecid 500mg q8h; doses up to 6 grams daily are often needed" (page 18)
That means 1 gram every 8 hours. Doses up to 6 grams daily (2 grams every 8 hours) is often needed.
So, if the man meant to say amoxicillin, he could have been OK, but I can tell you that I didn't feel better that day!
I stayed on 4.5 grams of amoxi plus probinecid plus flagyl for a month. And, I still didn't feel great.
So, you need to forget this guy when it comes to antibiotics for lyme treatment. Burrascano is published, a real MD, and treated more cases of lyme than probably any other doctor. I doubt this guy has treated anybody for lyme. He better watch out giving out medical advice. He could kill someone.

Hm, ok, thanks all.
I really do have to watch the heart thing. I have NO medical support at all here, very little in the way of transportation and a cellphone that dies overnight.
It's like realizing you have botulism in the middle of Siberia. Okay not as bad as that, but doing this totally alone limits really risky experiments.

Hi Jordana:
Without being specific on medications please keep in mind higher dosages of the medications can intensify the side effects and create other complications.
Liver of course is number 1, but then C Diff as well. I'm sure there are other adverse effects as well.
Please be careful and be skeptical.
Best,

Nope. Horribly allergic.
