Definitely have Candida, so my doctor took me off mino and Mepron and put me on Nystatin. First week, itching went away and stool started to become normal, now I feel like its coming back. I'm not sure what to do so I changed my diet to just vegetables and fresh meat. I'm already on a good probiotic and now taking Digestion G/B.
Anyone know what candida herxing is like? Or has it come back? What's the most effective way of getting rid of it? I have babesia and bartonella as well, I would really like to start the abx for those asap.

Nystatin doesn't usually do a lot to kill candida. It may keep more from forming .. nice preventative .. but you may need Diflucan or Sporanox to kill it out.
Herxing would include things like bloating, dizziness, headaches, flu-like feelings, etc.
Why would my doctor put me on Nystatin then? Do I just call and ask for Diflucan, or just that I'm not responding that well?

- OLE was far better than any anti-candida Rx for literally curing me of any candida issues, even when I was taking doxycycline.
Prior to that, years ago with frequent antibiotics - but before the lyme dx:
Nystatin did nothing for me, either powder or the pills.
Diflucan was good at first but then caused trouble and was too $$. It can be very hard on the liver, and OLE actually helps the liver. So I was glad of that, too.
Taking it BEFORE I started doxy, & any other antibiotic was likely a big help, though. Continued it all through and was just amazed.
However, the longest stretch for me on antibiotics was just 2 months. I know others go much longer, if they have access to the full protocols, etc.
My whole life, on & off of abx for decades, candida had been so bad- even with a week here, two weeks there. I sure wish I had known about OLE then. But SEAGATE is the only brand that worked like this for me.

Hmm, interesting, I've been finding a lot of different herbs and spices that can help. Is Olive Leaf Extract one of the less harmful ones, as in, counteracting with other medicines and abx?

- Seagate was the only OLE that really worked for me. Some of the others I tried were just not at all in the same ball park.
Myrolea-B is also up there but mostly due to the additional herbs with that and I am familiar with Seven Forests quality.
For just OLE, Seagate is more cost effective in the long run.
When making brand comparisons, it's important to research all the steps taken by any particular brand of olive leaf for how it is grown, tended, harvested & processed.
That makes a world of difference for the full amount of support it may provide. And getting the book by Walker is also key to understanding how to use this - and the optimum dosing.

What is a sign of "sinking urine"? Basically my urine is kinda cloudy and sometimes it sinks. I drink a lot of water but its still yellowish, I've heard of sulfur levels possibly being high but idk if thats possible or if its just canida.

Yes. That is why best to begin with just one a day, in middle of good meal. So that it's a more gentle start. it should not take too long to move past the herx introduction phase, though. Didn't for me, anyway. Maybe a week.
& "what dosage did you do?"
Start with one a day. In the middle of a meal. Work up to 2, then 3 (one per meal).
I worked up to the maximum dose of 16 a day (four capsules, 4 x day) and could take away from food just fine. I was likely targeting issues with my mouth such as long time aphthous ulcers.
I also recall letting a table dissolve in my mouth several times a day. Now, though, they have a wonderful alcohol-free tincture that would be better for mouth tissue support.
The dose range is best described in the book suggested at the OLE link set. Morton Walker book, I think it is.
No other Rx was used at the time I did that. So, of course if you also take Rx or other herbs, be sure to ask your LL doctor.

- I never really had candida when I started OLE. But I had had it terribly over decades before.
I had used Diflucan at one time and that helped - but only if I was not also on antibiotics at the same time.
But I never really got any typical lyme treatment for years. Then I was offered 2 months of doxycycline. I knew that I needed to prevent candida before it even got a chance to start.
So, I started Seagate OLE before the doxycycline and all during the two months. Not one problem with candida at all. And this, alone, was a miracle considering how badly it had affected be back for decades with frequent need for a couple weeks each month for one abx or another.
In the past, neither nystatin nor diflucan could keep candida away like OLE did for me when taking antibiotics.
But, in between years, with no abx, I was able to get candida to just leave me alone . . . many herbs, years gone by.
So, in your case, you have candida going now so it just can't be compared to my experience with it preventing it after it had been tamed years prior. Sorry not to be able to offer you some time link. The Morton Walker book may, though.
My guess is that it will take some time. I would think you should notice some improvement in candida symptoms in a couple of weeks, as long as your diet is free of processed sugars, flours, gluten, etc. -- and even alcohol based tinctures (and mouthwashes) can contribute to candida so be aware of that.
After avoiding fruit for years prior, when on doxycycline and OLE, I did eat low sugar berries as I really needed the nutrients. I had no issue at all. But, again, I did not have active candida before starting OLE and then the doxycycline. That was many years ago.
I've used OLE at other times since, not with antibiotics. -

I've found that a digestive enzyme on top of a good probiotic is very helpful. After a while, diflucan stopped doing anything!
