I was sorry to miss this event, sponsored by Hartford Lyme Advocates, which held today.
Did anyone else attend and can share information?

“Your Brain on Lyme”
An Anatomical and Functional Look at the Human Brain Infected with the Bacteria That Causes Lyme Disease
When Lyme disease infects the brain, there are a myriad of possible symptoms that may result.
This talk will relate the anatomy of the brain to the various physical deficits that may result from infections of specific areas in the brain.
As much as is known by modern science regarding the function of the brain and its relationship to Lyme disease, the limitations of what is not known in regards to this disease will also be touched on.
Dr. Opdyke received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Emory University in Atlanta where he studied neurophysiology (cellular physics of individual nerve cells).
He transitioned from academics to the environmental field, first working at the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GaEPD), where he wrote a novel adult lead model as well as co-authored their risk assessment guidance.
Following his start at GaEPD, Dr. Opdyke took a position as a risk assessor with Region 4 USEPA in Atlanta focusing on air quality.
From there he quickly decided that it would be more beneficial to actually affect change by working directly on environmental cleanups, rather than sit in a regulatory role, and thus he took his first position with the US Army Corps of Engineers in the New England District as a risk assessor.
From there he took a role as the Risk Assessment Team Lead in Baltimore District.
He has worked on environmental sites throughout the United States for nearly 20 years.

I wanted to attend this but when I looked at the presenter's work experience I didn't understand how he could know so much about the brain and lyme.
His education indicates that he may know something about the subject but I know for myself that I know a lot more about what I do for my job versus what I did in school.
I emailed Nat. Capital Lyme and Hartford Lyme Advocates but didn't get a response.
Maybe someone knows more about this man than I?
I googled but came up with nothing.
