I have a co-infection of Bartonella. Burrascano calls for mostly Floroquinolones for treatment of this. In visiting this site I have found these antibiotics to be very dangerous!! My doc has me on; Doxy, Rifampin and Cefuroxime. I think she stated that she is having me come back in June to start treatment for the co-infections. What should I do if she recommends a Floroquinolone????!!! Is there an alternative to this kind of medicine that works just as well????

Rifampin is the alternative. So you should be good to go. Do try to get the dosage up, some need 1200mg/day or even higher.

Take a look at this page from a lyme treatment book. It tells you how to treat bart:
Maybe in June she is going to start treatment for babesiosis. I'll bet she knows about the dangers of the floroquinolones and she is already avoiding them.
