Has anyone develop cellulitis after being treated with minocycline? I have a realllllllllly bad case now and my local Dr. is IV rocephrin the last 5 days. So far it is not working much. I will get an MRI in the morning to see what is what. It is sooooooo painful. If you believe in prayer please pray for me.

I thought that Lyme can cause cellulitis! Maybe it is the die-off as it's being attacked in the brain? Mino has good brain/nervous system penetration.
What does your LLMD say?
Feel better!

Cellulitis is most often caused by a staph or strep infection of the skin. And, a type of staph, MRSA, can also cause it.
I would think they would culture it to find out what antibiotic is effective against your particular infection.
I don't understand why they are doing an MRI for cellulitis.
I am praying for you!
