Hi all,

Just checking in to see what you recommend taking in the line of probiotics to avoid yeast infections? I am going on three different antibiotics, just now coming off cipro/flagyl.

I am taking florastor daily with acidophilus (Natures Bounty).. I have taken both in the past when I treated for two full years..

One year was orals and bicillin shots and the 2nd year was Rocephin IV for the entire year. I managed both years without ever coming down with a yeast infection.. I just purchased pro-biotic 225 billion by Ortho Molecular, anyone ever try this product??

I also eat yogurt twice a day.. Just wondering if you have any other suggestions..

Thanks in advance..

Probiotics may or may not be enough. They were not for me.

However, a very particular brand of olive leaf extract (Seagate) prevented candida taking over the last time I was on antibiotics.

Candida was well under control before I took abx and so I started OLE a few days prior to the abx, which I think was really important (if that is possible for anyone reading to is all new to this). Also pass this along to family / friends as anyone taking antibiotics for any reason could benefit from this. Sure wish I had know decades ago.

And, there are many other herbs that are anti-fungal in nature, too. It's just that of all the different ones I'd tried along the way, this happened to be in the right place at the right time for me.

Others include allicin, berberine, coptis, etc.

I get good mileage out of Custom Probiotics CP-1.

Some of the Ultimate Flora products are good if you can find them refrigerated. Keep using the Florastor, for sure.

You might also consider making your own sauerkraut.
