I have a doc appointment coming in 4 weeks and I'm assuming that doc will want to run some tests. I've seen 10 days as the standard for being off antibiotics before testing - is that true for the co's as well?

Call the office of the LLMD you will be seeing. Assume nothing until you talk to them. The office manager should be able to help or connect you with that detail.

You appear new here yet think you said that could not sign on with your previous name but you were here before for a while so this is not all new to you and you likely have previous tests & treatment records - ? - if so, be sure to have those for the LLMD (I assume is the doctor you will see).

If you had prior testing you may not need to repeat some, depending on how thorough past treatments might have been.

I got a CDC positive test while still on antibiotics and a non-CDC positive test while off them.

My results were the opposite of the idea of going off antibiotics.

Good luck!

Update - they asked me to come in for the blood test early, so I didn't have time to go off ABX. I only came back positive for one band on the Western Blot (Band 41). Previously, I was only positive for band 23. (Not sure what lab they used)

This brings an interesting question: If the Lyme infection happened a long time ago, do more or less bands light up (or is time not a factor)? I suspect my exposure to Lyme was 20 years ago.
