I received results for toxic metal urinalysis, but am confused.

I was wondering why certain provoked toxic metal test give results and compare them to an unprovoked reference?

How can one compare to another?

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question, but if I am...

...the provoking agent draws the metal from the tissue (in my case, lead from the bones) so that it appears in blood, urine etc testing method (in my case, urine).

thank you for the reply.
Mine showed elevated lead and mercury.

However, what they compare it to as a guiding reference for acceptable levels are the levels used in unprovoked test without a chelating agent.

So, I don't understand how that would be an accurate comparison.
