What tick bite is this? My daughter, every so many weeks, has a throbbing headache and sorethroat.

She's supposed to take Coartem for 3 days when she gets a headache, and she has Rifampin for when she gets muscle pain.

But what causes this sore throat? We always run for a strep test and its never strep. Not sure I want to subject her to that today.

Bartonella can cause a sore throat. I was constantly going for strep tests before I got diagnosed lyme and bart.

Strep doesn't always test positive on those throat cultures.
