Been going through anxiety depression ocd racing thoughts lately.

Thinking of trying antidepressants....

Which ones have you tried and which ones work. Just need something to take the edge off.

Not sure if it's gut issues still or more lyne Bart myco who knows what else..

Any input thank you!

I always suggest 5htp (I like the NOW brand) and also L-theanine.

They both take the edge off, bring things down a notch or two.

5htp can upset your stomach a little but its doable especially with food.

L theanine never bothers my stomach.

I'm on a new one. I'll have it upped soon. I'll let you know how it goes Tricia. Right now is too early for me to tell.

I have used Zoloft. Doc gives me Xanax for the 2 weeks it takes for the Zoloft to kick in. You only take the Xanax if you want to or really need to.

Then, when I feel like I don't need the Zoloft anymore, I slowly taper off with no problems.

I was using Xanax before I got this. You really have to make yourself only take the Xanax when you are really flipping out though.

I wanted to take it all the time because it is the only thing that calms me so far.

However, it is full of serious dangers. Dependency can be a problem because when you come off of it your body is used to it.

People have ended up in the hospital half dead from not keeping it in their systems.

be careful. with tick diseases you can get different reactions an dbe more sensative to these meds. I even took some and was fine, then after a while they made me have severe , life threatning reactions.

Second what Lisa K said. I took Lexapro pre-Lyme - worked well and no problems.

Years later, with Lyme, took a low dose and it really impacted my sleep.

So whatever you do, just start slow.

Any chance this could be a side effects of any of your meds? Mepron? Singulair? probably many others can cause low mood.
