My cousin has been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks in NC and they're gonna kill her because they're so ignorant. Thanks for the help

I have had dozens of babesia tests at many labs and the only one that ever showed positive was Lab Corps -- but only once in about a dozen tests there.

Sorry about your cousin. I'm in NC and i totally understand what she is up against here -- Lyme disease only exists in the Northeast -- heard it from an immunologist just this morning.

I've tested positive at three or four labs for babesia antibodies. But what is the best lab for finding the parasite in blood smears? Don't you need both?

Clongen ?? I think that's the one that does the smears.

Igenex if you can't do that one.

I have 'heard' the Igenex FISH test for Babesia is pretty good.

Lyme positive PCR blood, and
positive Bartonella henselae Igenex, 2011.
low positive Fry biofilm test, 2012.
Update 7/16- After extensive treatments,
doing okay!

Fry laboratories does testing as well.

I have heard that blood smears are really hard to identify with babesia!
