I've heard if you just take Art/Wormwood [for Babs] every day, your body will eventually produce an enzyme to block it, rendering it useless...is this true?
I'm about to start Babs treatment including Art...I was told by Dr. R to take a huge dose of Art each day for 3 days and then take 11 days off so that the body does not block it.
I've also been taking parasite pills for my gut which contains wormwood...should I be worried that after taking these every day my body will block the future effectiveness of Art? How long does it take the body to "reset" after stopping wormwood every day so that it won't be blocked in the future? thanks!

Wormwood is not the same as the artemesia used to treat babesia, so I think you're fine with it.
Wormwood is Artemisia absinthium and the art for babs is artemisia annua.

- Yes, they may be relatives but are not at all the same thing. This is important to know about many plants. Just because their first names may be the same (or similar), it that second name that often makes all the difference. -

- Though not at all about lyme, this is one of the best reference resources on my bookshelf that has wonderful chapters, many graciously available through their website:
The ONE EARTH HERBAL SOURCEBOOK (Tillotson, et al)
He is a doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine; She a doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncturist. The third co-author is a doctor of optometry.
Scroll down in the left menu to: The Language of Herbs & Understanding Herbs for some basic detail. -
