I have had Lyme and many Co's for many years. Only been treating for the past 2. We just found out we are expecting our first child after 8 years of trying. My LLPA is not comfortable treating me as she has never dealt with pregnancy. I do not want to give this to the baby. What were some of your protocols during pregnancy. I am trying to find a doctor in the Raleigh, NC area.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
I would also recommend you call the top Lyme pediatrician, Dr. J. (also sent you his contact information). He has put together a protocol for pregnant women with Lyme which can be followed with your own doctor. Many women have gone on to have healthy babies by doing this.
The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.
Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this, click on the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
