Didn't read the article, but it's difficult to get an accurate vitamin C level measured in the body- was told so water soluble, washes out quickly...

The article is talking about Vitamin D, not Vitamin C...

Years ago D3 was taken for psoriasis (autoimmune).

Using mouse peritoneal mast cells, we investigated the effects of 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (calcitriol) on mast cell proliferation and histamine release.

Unfortunately...

In contrast, ***anti-IgE antibody-dependent histamine release *** was not affected by calcitriol.

High histamine = undermethylated.
Low histamine = overmethylated.

Delicate balance!!!
