We want to stop using ABX after 2 months of usage for my child as the symptoms have almost gone now. Occasionally, mild symptoms, such as tingling and mild rashes appear but it is much better than two month ago when he was not able to walk.

We bought Trace Minerals Colloidal silver and using for last two days. He has shown little improvement. Wondering if this is the correct silver to continue with. We are told genuine colloidal silver should have darker tint but this one is colorless.

Please let us know if anybody has any success with Colloidal silver and which brand to buy.

I do better with the clear. That which has an amber color it always irritated me - it lowered my seizure threshold terribly. I will never use amber silver again but do fine with the clear. I can't look up the brand you mention but will later.

If you could get your child to a LL ND, that would be best.

I would not expect to see improvement for quite some time, actually. Especially since it's been a while. When colloidal silver first worked for me, I think it took a couple weeks to see some improvement.

You might consider a gluten-free diet, too, to help lower inflammation and pain.

Also be sure liver support is on board, especially to get a good supply of anti-oxidants:

LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too.

When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods, because lyme is so very complex & unique, as are possible coinfections:

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -

- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )

so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways.

Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.

When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.

Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;

knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

You can compare and contrast many approaches with links to articles, books, methods . . .

BODY WORK methods / links (and why anyone who works on your spine MUST be LL to the degree they at least know to never suddenly twist neck or spine. Never. Ever. And that we should never be advised to do neck / head / shoulder stands.)

I personally like silver Sol and sovereign silver. They might not be the strongest but that was OK with me to start. Argentyn 23 is made by sovereign silver and is stronger I think.

Hello,

I just want to say make certain the colloidal silver you buy is real colloidal silver. Ionic silver will make silver chloride and is insoluble in your stomach, which will simply pass through digestive system and if it makes it to your blood stream will bind to chloride ions and cause argyria over a period of long term use.

I know we all want to get better but please do lots of research before using colloidal silver. It may or may not work and may cause more damage than good.

I personally have used Mesosilver which is the best I could find which was more expensive.

I have worked in both microbiology and chemistry for some time now and I did place 1mL of Mesosilver solution in with 1mL of E-Coli bacteria we used as controls and seriously it was a concentrated amount.( This was many years ago, do not remember exact concentration off top of my head).

It did not allow them to manifest and killed most of them. It was mixed with standard methods agar (SMA) and incubated at 35 degree C for 72 hours inverted.

For our plates inoculated with 1mL of stock solution the total plate count would be TNTC aka too numerous to count, however & <10 colonies formed after 72 hours in the colloidal silver plate.

I will say it is effect but please be cautious and do not over do it. It can be dangerous just like anything else out there.

Best wishes.

Especially for use by a child, a LL naturopathic doctor could best advise if silver is okay for a child and, if so, specific brand / type & how much. A child's body is not the same as a small adult when considering dosage, etc.

There are also many other options a good ILADS educated LL ND can consider. Wishing your family the best of luck with all this.
