I just needed to reach out today because I am feeling so hopeless. I've been on Ceftin & Tinidizole since September (mino & rifampin for 3 months before).

Over the last couple weeks I had started to feel pretty good. However, I got a yeast infection last week and my LLMD started me on Diflucan.

Well, things have gone to hell in the last 48 hours. This is the worst I have felt in awhile.

I almost fainted a couple times, my heart rate is high, my blood pressure is high and low, I'm so weak I can't walk, nausea, headache, vomiting, fever.

I just don't understand how we are supposed to get through this. I had started to think I was approaching the other side.

I'm stuck in bed, again and I guess I just needed to say how much I hate this out loud to you guys. I don't post much, but I read your posts daily and they've been really helpful.

I want so much for all of us to be okay. This is the most horrendous disease. Life sucking. I just can't believe what torture we have to go through to get better.

I'm sorry to be so negative. I just need to know that it's going to be okay. That there's a reason to keep going and not give up.

Wow... very sorry to hear! Are you sure you aren't reacting to the med itself? Or that you have a virus on top of all of this?

I would definitely call the LLMD's office to see how to proceed.

Diflucan can really pack a punch when you have candida everywhere. Many use it several days a week (or more) while going thru treatment. Be sure to follow a good anti-candida diet too. Protect your gut!!

The good news is that there is some evidence Diflucan may work against borrelia too. So perhaps you got a double whammy.

Hang in there, there is EVERY reason to keep going!

Thank you so much for replying Lymetoo.

I emailed my LLMD and he said it definitely sounds like a yeast die off reaction. Told me to get to detoxing: coffee enemas, epsom salt baths, alka seltzer gold, activated charcoal.

Does that sound like a good plan to you?

Did you make sure to google there there are no interactions between the Diflucan and your other medications? If not, then your detox plan above sounds very good.
Also try to take in lots of glasses of pure water, and if you want to try bentonite clay capsules with metamucil (psillium husk) they might absorb some of the toxins from the yeast die off-- only don't take these (and the charcoal) near the times when you take your medication-- so the medication isn't also absorbed by the healing clay.

Some people find that 10 Burbur (Nutrimedix) drops taken every ten minutes until the reaction goes away are very useful.

Others swear that 1 or two teaspoons of chlorella can absorb yeast die off toxins.

Also don't feed the yeast with sugar or wheat. Green drinks made from fresh swiss chard, fresh beet greens and fresh lettuces also might help.

God bless you and keep you.
