Babesia for me, was the worst, worst, worst, no doubt. Even change of personality, of reactions. after babesia, any infection can also cause depression. Physical body feeling unwell long term = depression. How can you feel great if your body is so unhealthy for so many months, years? Lack of initiative is my first obvious symptom. Then I realize I turn inwards, avoiding social contact. All due to disease, no matter which. A cold can make you feel crap. It is the time factor that makes us depressed. The longer you are ill, the more your mind /heart feels the consequence. I think, my first barometer is initiative. Once that is low, I know I'm less well.
