I was prescribed Zithromax and Bicillin shots for Lyme. Also given several herbs to take as well at the same time. Can anyone give me suggestions on best way to protect my stomach and prevent overgrowth / yeast as best as possible as well as prevent side effects?

I was also given a prescription for VSL 3 to help. I already take probiotics today and had a Genova test which showed my gut in very good health (no yeast or pathogens).

My LLMD has recommended taking S. Boulardi (Florastor) in addition to VSL and also taking a 3rd probiotic called Theralac. (this one is rough on my gut so I can't take too much of it).

When on abx, I usually do probiotics with breakfast, abx with lunch, and probiotics before bed.

Stay away from sugar as best you can. Yeast feeds on sugar. Drink alot of water.

Take probiotics at least two hours away from the antibiotics .. taking them at bedtime or first thing in the morning works well for me. Another in mid-afternoon, if possible.

Stay away from sugar in all forms...even fruit can cause trouble.
