Hi My daughter had an appointment with LLMD last month of 27th. Doctor ordered igenex Lyme test and co-infection tests through other lab. I called today to ask if they got any results back.
They said they have it but can't tell on the phone and doctor will discuss the results on coming appointment which is on 30th. I don't know how am I going to wait till 30th.
Is that the normal procedure to wait till next appointment to learn the results? My daughter already had positive Lyme results with other lab but my concern is about co-infection. Hopefully it came back negative.

- Well, sad to add to your lack of clear yes / no answer but even if the coinfection tests come back negative, that does not rule out such coinfections at all. If they are positive, it will clarify but if negative, that does not mean they are not part of the picture.
This is where the expertise of a good LLMD or LL ND comes in, though, as they might be able to determine the likelihood of certain coinfections and treat accordingly.
With lyme, 99 percent chance of at least several other infections. Lyme never travels alone. Sorry. -

- You might explore the sets of symptoms for the most common TBD (tick borne disease).
I don't have a handy link for a symptom checklist but I've seen some really nice ones along the way.
For instance, here's just a very basic start:
Air hunger; night sweats; anemia . . . Babesia
Food pain; mood shifts . . . Bartonella
chronic coughing, severe fatigue . . . mycoplasma
Harrod Buhner's books are excellent at describing the various coinfections. If you can, I'd order all of his books on lyme and coinfections even if you don't plan to "do" herbs, the detail about how the infections affect a human - just absolutely essential and detailed information. -

Each doctor is different, so I'm not sure what to tell you. I know they want to go over it with you and that is hard to do over the phone, especially if it's "negative."
Remember that negative doesn't always mean negative.

Yes, it is normal to get your blood test results at your second appointment. Many lyme doctors will not give the results over the phone because the test results cannot be trusted.
So, the doctor wants to tell you the coinfections he wants to treat your daughter for and why. The test results are not that important. What is important is what the doctor has decided to do. So, go to the appointment and find out what the doctor wants to do--and that will include the results of the blood tests plus the doctor's thinking and plan.
The blood tests cannot be trusted. Symptoms are much more important than the blood test results.
If your daughter has had lyme for at least a year, then she also has coinfections. That is what Dr. Burrascano says. He says that is true 100% of the time.

Thank you all for your responses. I guess the only thing I can do now is just wait till appointment.
She is not on any medication right now. After first appointment doctor did not give her anything probably because she wants the lab results back first. She was done 28 days amoxicillin treatment when we saw the doctor.
If she has any of these co-infection that would be Bartonelle because of her mood shifts and sensitivity symptoms.
Actually I am not sure exactly about her symptoms I mean she is only 4 years old and it is really hard to explain some of her behaviors if they are normal 4 years old classic kids things or the Lyme causing of those.
You guys are really helpfull. I don't know how do you know this much information. Thank you again.

Did you ever see red lines or red streaks on her body? They can come and go. They can look like scratches.
If so, this is a clear sign of bartonella.

My daughter had an appointment today and we got some of the test results back. Igenex IgG and IgM both came back positive and Bartonella positive too.
They did not get Babesia result because the lab they send could not run it because they ran out of the kit so they back order or something like that.
So we will wait for a while for babesia results to come. She does not have any symptoms other than being moody. we start using some drops that doctor gave us today. BB-1, Bar-1, tox-ease, probiotic and methyl-B factor drops.
She already used 28 days antibiotics and doesn't have any symptoms that's why we do the herbal treatment other than antibiotic but after I got back home from doctor I am little bit regret I don't know we should've start antibiotic or not?
Especially IgM is positive so if I am not wrong that means even she used antibiotics the infection is still going on. I don't know what I know. I am sorry if I could not explain well.
Do you think we should start antibiotic directly? Doctor said there is no symptoms and antibiotics is more harm than the benefit so I said lets do the drops. We will have a phone appointment in a month so we will see.
Thank you for listening.
And please don't mind my writing and English. Thanks again
