My son has elevated liver enzymes and he can not take medications what do you suggest to do to lower the liver enzymes so he can continue to take the medications?? he also has brain fog

Liver support should be on board when treating Lyme and coinfections. Milk thistle is great, but contraindicated if taking rifampin or mepron. Some other liver helpers are NAC w/C, dandelion, and burdock. Coffee enemas are great for increasing glutathione.
Is your son taking rifampin? I think it is pretty normal for that med to elevate the liver enzymes. Might be a good idea to see what his doctor thinks about his elevated enzymes. Sometimes the infections themselves can elevate liver enzymes.
Healthy diet is crucial when working to become healthy from TBD's. Undenatured whey and lots of fresh vegetables can provide ample substrate for the liver to manufacture glutathione.

I was with the Bartonella expert and if he is on Rifampin or Mycobutin it's normal for the liver enzymes to elevate for a short time then they will normalize. It happened for me and the doc said that's how he knows it's working.

Did you stay on the med's or did the doctor take you off until the liver enzymes went down?

- Brain Fog is a very common issue for anyone with lyme and it is often not really resolved until well into a good treatment protocol or even close to remission - so be patient.
A gluten free diet is often a nice helper. Sure was for me. Many LLMDs and LL NDs suggest a gluten free diet for various reasons. One is that it can help reduce inflammation. And inflammation can cause pain, depression, brain fog, etc. Anything to help reduce that - all the better.
The adrenal hit that all with lyme also face is also a ticket to brain fog. Also important:
