Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out what this new symptom is from and how to fix it. Driving me insane. I have hypersalivation and mid-throat area stiffness/soreness. Hard to talk for a while or in a loud voice. Hard to chew a lot of food at once due to pressure/soreness in throat muscles. Have to constantly spit or swallow a lot of saliva every 20-40 seconds.

Timeline:

Oct 28- Started Malarone
Nov 5- Started Crypto-Plus by Researched Nutritionals
Nov 15- Stopped Crypto before surgical procedure [mole removal with stitches]. No side effects from anything up now.
Nov 22- Started Crypto again
Nov 22- hypersalivation and constantly sore adams apple throat area [vagus nerve?] begins
Nov 23- stopped Crypto immediately
Nov 30- stopped Malarone
Dec 1- Panicked and started Minocycline, Tindamax and Zith for lyme and co to see if it would help [hasnt yet]

It's now Dec 4. Still having this symptom. Is it Vagus nerve inflammation or some kind of Babesia dieoff toxin or something else? Any theories given that timeline?

More data points:
I am not drooling
Swallowing does not hurt, I can swallow food/liquid
Do not notice this at all when sleeping
Doesnt hurt to yawn

I'm thinking of just throwing more stuff at this to see what will help this go away! I'm thinking of re-adding the Crypto. Thyroid bloodwork is normal and ENT couldnt find anything wrong with my throat or salivary glands. Thoughts? Thanks!

Yeast? Otherwise a neurological manifestation or infection or both. Wish I was more help.

I'd start with a chiropractor first.

PS- For all of our running and all of our cunning, if we couldn't laugh we'd all be insane.

According to Jimmy Buffett you need to make some changes in lattitudes and changes in attitudes...

I was reading the other day about how if you take a medicine without enough water or lie down too quickly it can get stuck in the throat and cause damage and you wouldn't even feel it. I know this can happen with doxycycline but I don't know about your medicines.
