I have Lyme, Bart and anaplasmosis. I have had this for two and half years.

It went dormant and when it became active again all of a sudden my heart started racing, stomachs got really tight and had spine pain.

I have really bad peripheral neuropathy in my feet. My head and neck cracks wicked bad too. Anyways, something just forest feel right.

I had prostatitis so I was on ciprofloxacin recently. I am also on minocycline, cefdir, tindimax. I felt better from prostatitis, then my prostate really started bothering me.

Shortly after I started getting weird stomachs pains and bloating. It seemed to go away but all of a sudden my hamstrings and calls are super tight and my neuropathy in feet has become worse.

My head and neck have hardly cracked and they normally do a fair amount. Now I'm having weird heart pains and palpitations. Is this a bad herx or flare. I'd if I should take my antibiotics or stop them.

When my stomach was aching I did make clam broth and it seemed to help. Do I need to detox more? Right now I shouldn't feel this sick because my monthly happened a week ago so I shouldn't feel like this.

It's like my symptoms have speed up. Is my infection that out of hand?

Also my calf muscle twitches are going crazy. A little before this happened my symptoms moved down my back rapidly, started having tingling and bad twitching.

Then my stomach started twitching right before feeling bloated etc. Same thing with prostate.

About two years ago I was having heart related issues. This time was different. Just started with a sharp pain.

Hmm.. Prostatitis AND a "monthly?" What gives?

Cipro can cause a MULTITUDE of problems. Nerve pain, stomach pain, heart symptoms and more. Read the info in this thread.. there are solutions as well.

Are you taking extra magnesium? That may help.

Thank you for the reply and info. Ciprofloxacin is dangerous.

I am currently not taking extra magnesium but I will now.

I think I am also going to buy some clams and make a broth to detox.

Hey Dazzle,

Sorry you are having these problems. May I suggest going to the doctor and checking with him/her? The Cipro could have started something that you'd want checked out.

Hope your situation improves soon!

Thanks so much for responding. I did call the Dr. I do have prostatitis from Lyme. Does bactrum works well or is that another bad drug?

Bactrim is at least safer for most of us than the fluoroquinolones like Cipro.

"I have really bad peripheral neuropathy in my feet."

Tindamax causes that! It happened to me and is now permanent.

It shouldn't be given to people with peripheral neuropathy.

Tindamax and levaquin (which is like cipro) did me in.

http://www.drugs.com/disease-interactions/tinidazole,tindamax.html

"The use of nitroimidazoles (e.g., metronidazole, tinidazole) has been associated with the development of nervous system toxicity including convulsive seizures and dose-related peripheral neuropathy, the latter characterized primarily by numbness or paresthesia of an extremity.

Persistent peripheral neuropathy has been reported in some patients treated for prolonged periods. Other neurologic adverse effects include vertigo, incoordination, ataxia, confusion, agitation, hallucinations, and depression.

Therapy with nitroimidazoles should be administered cautiously in patients with or predisposed to seizures or other nervous system abnormalities. Nitroimidazole therapy should be discontinued promptly if neurologic disturbances occur."

Thank you so much Judie for replying and forth information.

I was only taking it 2 days a week but I didn't

Know that it causes peripheral neuropathy. I will

Stop taking it. That probably explains the vertigo

as well.

Bingo! She is right. Sorry I missed that. Flagyl did the same thing to me. Caused nerve pain.

Thank you for the response. It seems like some of my Lyme symptoms have really increased since I had

the prostatitis. Right after prostatitis my hamstrings got tight, pitchers all over my body

and sharp chest pain and now it feels like costoconchritis and pain in the back of my knees.

I haven't had knee pain or costoconchritis in two years. Is this from the ciprofloxacin or do I need

to detox badly?
