End Boxer Great explanation. Thank you. For many, many years when I crashed I would get extreme sugar and carb cravings. The kind of cravings that would cause me to eat two boxes of cookies. However, once the crash ends, the sugar cravings end.
I now know this is from Babesia. What a revelation.
Which leads to my question: When a crash comes is there something I can do to halt the sugar cravings, in essence end the hypoglycemia?
Long term I am treating the Babesia. 1) My diet when not crashed is good. But could be better, as described here. 2) I do take Ribose, but need to take in larger doses. (raise from 5g to 15g) 3) Two antibiotics - primmaquine is one. 4) Ozone & Medsonic sound treatment
But something to relieve the intense sugar cravings while in the grips of the hypoglycemia crash would be helpful.
Question 2: What else can I do to deal with the hypoglycemia from the Babesia longer term? I saw something mentioned about l-arginine and Ribose. Is it just a question of ATP/Mitochondria support?
Question 3: It has also be mentioned the the Babesia causes the muscle fatigue/cramping that makes your legs feel like logs. What is the process causing that? And what might you suggest to deal with it?
I could go on in more detail as to the supplments and meds I taking, but it is late and I'm beat. Plus it would be alot. Generally, thought, I'm taking some antioxidant support and compound hormone prescriptions for my thyroid and adrenals.
Thanks. I hope this makes sense, as I am out of energy.

Hey George...
Yes, with Babesia I have those cravings too. I've been using chromium picolinate (again- used it years ago and stopped) to help level out the blood sugar levels and cravings. Last blood work indicated good levels, so am I on the right track? Hope so!
The other thought is yeast. It will "flare" now and again and my thought is it drives the host to consume sugar so it can flourish. It takes about 2 weeks of bad cravings while killing the yeast before the host (humans) aren't going through the wicked cravings.
My ND just did some tests for Candida and I believe they came back positive. I have an appointment soon, so I will ask about the chromium also.
